Excellent Coffee Maker – Nice looking appliance. Fits neatly under kitchen cabinets and is easy to pull out when you are ready to use it. Makes excellent coffee, particularly for the price. I really like the feature where you can brew an entire carafe of coffee or just one cup. I am the only coffee drinker in my household, so I can make the cups one at a time and they are always fresh.

A Keeper with Caveats – While I’m satisfied with my morning coffee, there are a couple of issues that may dissuade others from purchasing. I finally settled on this coffee maker after trying several others & this was the best of the lot, in my opinion.

Ease of use – I was hesitant to purchase a stainless steel carafe as I felt the coffee never stayed hot enough, but this one does for , I would say, a good hour. Then it does cool slightly but still good. The coffee comes out great and tastes great. No bitter after taste from the stainless steel. I haven’t used the single mug feature on it yet, but am looking forward to it. The ODO is easy to use and clean up. I highly recommend it.

Replaced our Bonavita. Happy – Our Bonavita failed after 4 years and I was going to buy another one. But did some searching and found the OXO. A little more expensive but in the same ballpark. Very happy with this so far. Coffee is great. And the overall design is better than the Bonavita we replaced. Carafe lid stays in place for brewing. Carafe is very nice and balanced for pouring vs the Bonavita. And the filter basket sits in the top so no danger of hooking it and pulling out with the carafe. Overall we have concluded that this is a superior coffee maker for our daily use

I’m very happy with this coffee maker! – Just brewed my first pot. I did preheat the carafe with hot water as another reviewer suggested. I also preheated my coffee mug. I brewed three cups per the directions. It was fast, quiet and tasty. Two mugs of coffee in the morning is about right for me. My coffee mug holds about 8 ounces of coffee leaving room for cream. So I will be brewing four five ounce “cups” in the morning to fill my coffee mug twice. I’m very happy with this device. Oxo instructed the user to run a full water tank of filtered water only the first time the machine is operated. I did that and left the hot water to sit in the carafe for close to an hour. The water was still pretty hot! And I had not even preheated the carafe !
