More then the Bells and Whistles, It Makes Great Coffee! – So after reading some reviews here I was hesitant to buy this machine due to some reviews saying how messy it was. We’ll let’s just get this out of the way. I have yet to see a mess from this machine and have posted photos showing how good the coffee bed actually looks. In the photo, that is 69g of fresh roasted beans ground right before brewing using a Fellow Ode grinder. Not even close to a mess!

Pretty but messy! – The coffee grounds make such a mess! Even though the coffee grounds are in the filter, they also somehow make a mess by sticking to the roof of the coffee maker. Also, there isn’t a warming setting. If you want to save your coffee for later, there’s no way to re-warm it.

Nice but so many missed opportunities.. – I typically don’t write too many reviews but felt this product could use some additional perspectives, especially given its rich price tag and being relatively new to the market.

minimalist overall – Nice simple recyclable puzzle box shipping with minimal waste, no styrofoam, and easy unit removal. Photograph unit is actual eggshell finish compared to lids and unit face. Provided scoop, should have a saddle on unit for storage, is directed one measure per cup, it measures for two cup commonly used, and 10 cup will overflow filter in basket and get WOW cup of coffee. The usual coffee maker wants, after brew complete open tank lid or an hour not to have that tank fog until next load and than open basket lid for half an hour to drain showerhead and water port to prevent messy cleanup when removing coffee basket. Did not use filter [partselect.com item ps16219675 @ 6.68 ea] to have continual water draw rather than a straw type charge. 205* water temp is HOT in carafe for three hours [some are better]. WIFI is a question CAFE will be on mind when new purchase arrives.

The problem is the design of the water dripper/shooter is such that it shoots the grounds everywhere over and above the removable filter and get stuck all around the water drip unit. (the bail does not stay on the filter and coffee grounds may go everywhere when you clean it) it makes a holy mess everytime you make a cup of coffee and really I have never seen a coffee pot make more of a mess. I have to take several damp paper towels and wipe it out and down and run water through it about twice a week. Ridiculous for such an expensive machine. But it is visually appealing. Would never buy it if I knew this.
