Like it, but it’s slow – I’ve now used this machine daily for about 2 weeks. It works well and I’ve been having non-stop hot chocolates and matcha lattes. I like how easy it is to clean and how clever the storage is for the whisks. I like how the whisk attaches magnetically to the bottom so I don’t have to lift it out first before pouring the milk/foam. What I don’t like is how slow it is. To heat milk to about 150 takes almost 6 minutes. Any of these types of milk steamers/frothers (that heat by heating a base, which then transfers heat to the pitcher) are going to be slower. The ones with a base with electrical nodes that connect to the nodes built into the pitcher are going to be faster (about 2-3 mins). I’m going to try another Secura model next which claims to work faster and also has about a 17oz max capacity. That pitcher is not machine washable, but I think that the trade off for the speed will be worth it.

I wanted to love it but… – So…this replaced my old Secura milk warmer frother that could not go in the dishwasher. I was really excited about having a container that I could put in the dishwasher to clean because the other one was extremely hard to clean. The bad news is that it takes forever to get the milk hot where my older model had the milk caught right about the time my espresso was ready and I started them at the same time. The other issue is that…I fill The container to the max line and press the warm milk without foam and as you can see in the picture below there’s lots of foam. I can’t imagine what the foam option would look like…it might be all foam. I’ll likely keep the product because of the dishwasher convenience however I do now have to start my milk much earlier than I start my espresso.

This makes me happy – I love this thing. It cheers me up when I use it. The design is so nice, and the build quality and looks are great. I like the little details, like the different colored icons for the different selections. Obviously great care went into the design. Even the chord is very high quality. Great For Frothing Half and Half – My wife and I both like half and half in our morning coffee. Whipping it just makes it an even better experience. We have tried several different ways to whip the half and half but none of them even got close to this machine. We use half and half with 5 grams of fat per serving. I know some will cringe at that amount of fat, but I figure if you can’t splurge a bit in the mornings why get out of bed. Anyway, the froth coming out of this machine is thick, rich and creamy. It is so thick it actually lasted overnight in the fridge and all we had to do was re-whip it in the morning. We did try whipping whole milk. The results were not as dramatic, but the milk was silkier and had some frothing. The whisk is not one of those with the spring wrapped around a plastic holder which inevitable stretches and no longer whips the liquid. The whisk is made of a solid piece plastic, and you receive two extra whips. The whip sits very loosely on the spindle which seems a bit strange, but I believe the whole system works using magnets. Lastly it is very quiet when running.

Good for a larger drink, not just cream for a cup of coffee – I will say, this is a great foamer. The milk whips up nicely – both warm and cold. My only complaint is there is a minimum amount you need to put in there to whip up and it is way more than just a little cream for your coffee – so you need to commit to multiple cups or a latte/hot chocolate.
