Panasonic Microwave SN966S – Arrived in perfect condition thanks to the factory packaging. The box was considerably damaged but the microwave was packed very well and suffered no damage. The microwave has a nice touchpad that works well. I do not know if it is the “inverter” technology or just a better microwave but this unit heats food much better than the one it replaced. It heats food thoroughly, not just spots but very even. Noise level while in operation is negligible. We are very happy with this purchase.

Best microwave yet! – Easy to use the inverter system is the greatest thing added to microwaves. Large inside capacity is great. Am thrilled with this purchase. Now let’s see if it holds up!

Rusty – The microwave works fine but the stainless finish on the front is rusty…I’ve never had this issue with any of my other stainless appliances.

It’s a big one! – I did a lot of research, read reviews, etc. before I pulled the trigger on this. I honestly didn’t care to have one this big, but it seemed to be the only microwave, I found, under $400. or so, that didn’t have scary reviews in the one star category, at least on Best Buy’s website. Part of the reason I’m saying that is, I noticed that the reviews for this unit on Amazon, seem to be talking about a different model number. Take a look for yourself, and I think you’ll see there’s something fishy here, when below the reviewers title it gives you a different model number than this unit, which is NN-SN 97Js. I just wanted to make that clear and just for interest, I noticed that there’s some bad one star reviews here on Amazon, but Best Buy’s reviews for NN-SN 97Js are all pretty good.

Excellent appliance – This microwave was bought to replace an older model of the same brand with similar features. The improvements are more noticeable than expected. It’s easy to use and does a great job. Highly recommend.

Cyclonic inverter – I don’t recommend buying used – Quick update: sensor reheat does work pretty well but food has to not be covered for steam to escape well to be sensed. If reheating something like pasta sauce, which tends to splatter, the cover prevents the sensor from triggering. It’s good for some things though. I find I need to add an extra 30 seconds to something like a plate of reheated chinese food, covered lightly with wax paper.

What a FANTASTIC big microwave! – Maybe like me you tend to over-research stuff and end up with almost too much information, too many conflicting “reviews” good & bad to help you make a decision. If so, please hear me out. THIS is the big microwave you’re looking for, the one that will seem perfect in every way when it is in your kitchen. It is BIG so there’s never “not enough room”, powerful so it cooks fast as any microwave out there, and is super easy to use for people like me who don’t like too-complicated controls. You will love the way the door opens with a push of its big chrome button. The light inside is awesome. The digital readout is bright enough & easy to read, I know there were other reviews saying it is not lit up bright enough but maybe they had it in direct sunlight or something…really, the brightness is fine, not an issue. And the unit looks really sleek & cool. IF you have room for a really BIG platter microwave, this one is PERFECT!
