The ideal water heater for pour-over coffee enthusiasts – It’s still early days with the OXO Adjustable Pour-Over Kettle, but this product really checks off all the boxes for pour-over coffee enthusiasts. In fact, the packaging seems to be heavily marketed towards a specific coffee brewing purpose, even though there’s a variety of other uses for a gooseneck kettle with regulated temperature.

Died after four years of daily use – Mine died after four years of daily use. You can decide if that’s acceptable or not. Otherwise it’s a great kettle. Just wish the button was more crisp and robust: it’s really soft and doesn’t inspire confidence.

My coffee has never been better! – Easy to use, and cleaning is simple. I have small hands, so it might be a bit harder for someone with bigger mitts. the control with pouring is great and that the unit holds the temp for up to 30 mins is great, although I don’t think I would ever use all that time.

Your hot water is ready… – My 15-year-old Capresso coffee-maker (seldom used to brew coffee, but just to heat water) again failed due to a tiny plastic piece in the spring-loaded valve that allowed hot liquids to flow into its thermal carafe. I considered again spending the $30 or so for another replacement part, but found this OXO getting rave reviews on CoffeeGeek dot com, and ordered it here.
