If you have a 20 year old toaster… – Save your self some time. I should have thrown that old toaster away years ago. I new it was bad when I started to toast bread twice just to get it to be crispy and slightly brown. Do your self a favor and stop wasting time and energy. Our old toaster was set to max and I had to put it to toast twice killing about 6.5 minutes total. Now at the 3.5 setting is what the old toaster looked like after 6.5 minutes of total cook time. This new toaster does it in about 1.5 minutes total. At the #4 setting it gets a little more dark around the edges (see video for color). I make these toasted Italian bread with a little olive oil brushed on right before popping them in,

Almost perfect – It makes an annoying high pitch hissing sound when toasting, but it’s only audible within a few feet. Otherwise it’s great. I’ve had expensive toasters that weren’t 1/2 this dependable.

Great toaster – Attractive color, finish etc. Easy to read and use selections. Easy to clean, definitely. My only negative is where the cord comes out. Should be in to rear, not the side. A design flaw in my opinion. But find the toaster that has everything at this price and you’ll never have toast!

Works like a toaster should. – Nice sleek look and it toasts bread. What more could you ask for !?!

Does a great job, I just don’t need all the confusing buttons… – I’d also like some tactile feedback that can be felt through 75 years of callouses on the control knob so I can tell where it’s set without turning on all the kitchen lights. Then let’s get rid of all those extra nada buttons, don’t use any of them anyway, this thing does a darn nice job… just ignore them and use the one little twist knob… just like grandma’s toaster. It’s quick too, that new Walmart one is resting in the landfill now, it took twice as long and forgot one side every once in awhile. Keep the sunshine millennials out of the engineering dept and see if we can get back to a press down to toast and one, count ’em one, knob for how long. Easy Peasy Bubba. Carpe diem.

A Good Everyday Appliance – Easy to clean, good looking, and consistent. (Once you find the setting you like it toasts the same way every time). Our unit seemed to have a cool spot in one slot…the bottom of the slice in that slot wasn’t toasted as much the rest of the bread, but I suspect that’s just our unit, and frankly it’s not a big deal. if it bothers me I flip that slice half way through.

runs hot – Very pretty and works well, but it runs very hot and at first burned the toast on a lower number. I use it on 2 or 3 control and still it will burn the toast if not watched.

Toast temperature – I like everything pretty much aside from the fact that it does not toast both sides evenly. One side of bread not toasted as well as other side.
