It’s fine – I do love my snow cone maker but I do have one issue. The only way I could blend the ice is if it’s plugged in. Meaning I had to put the ice in first, then place the top on and plug it in. If I plugged it in before putting the ice on the machine would turn on. I expected to be able to have it plugged in while putting my ice in and once the top is on twist it and THEN it would turn on but that’s not the case for me. But I’ve gotten use to it so it’s fine. Still I good product. And also I would recommend putting your snow cone in the freezer for 5-15 minutes before eating it because they do melt fast. But that’s only if you don’t want a soupy snow cone too quickly.

Cute and works – So, I would definitely recommend getting a bag of ice or having crushed ice or even just smaller ice. The big cubes from the fridge just were having a hard time being shaved. You could do it. It’s just they didn’t fit as well so it wasn’t working as nicely. Once we crushed it up just a little bit so they were smaller pieces it worked really well. It is a tad bit on the loud side. I saw that in reviews and figured I’d go with it anyway. My kids had closed their ears anticipation but then they’re like oh it’s not so bad. So I don’t think the sound is that big of a deal. The door is a very tight fit. It took a little bit of tugging to open it. But maybe over time that’ll loosen so that’s probably a really good idea that it is tight. Very quick and easy to assemble. The little trade just slides onto the side. The top part the piece is fit in together and then it’s a safety mechanism it won’t turn on until you have everything spun into place. It was pretty easy to clean considering it was just ice and water. We do not put any thing else other than ice in here. We add all of our flavorings after. And honestly it makes a lot more than I thought it was going to. I know it says 20 but holy buckets does this hold a lot of ice.
