Makes the coffee – Bought for travel, and it works. Makes two real cups of coffee.

Makes one good pot of coffee – Whenever there is an upgrade to a product I tend to get judgmental about it. This is no different. This replaced a similar 5 cup pot exactly the same brand. This new one sports a timer and clock for convenience of brewing on a schedule. That is good, except now it has to always be plugged in. It comes with replaceable strainer basket and splash guard. The basket however is smaller than before and causes the filter to bunch up. The drain is relocated from the middle of the basket to the rear. Not sure what that does other than make the pour area bigger. They also relocated the hinge on the lid. It no longer opens from the front. It opens from the side. Quite inconvenient. However… What comes out (after adjustments) is a very good pot of coffee!

Perfect coffee – Just perfect!! Small size so takes up very little room yet makes enough coffee for up to 2. Has a timer so one can set morning coffee to be ready when one wakes and very importantly the coffee is nice and hot. The flavor is just right. Highly recommended.

It’s been 15 months… – Still brewing. Several small issues but still making coffee. The disk that “filters water” is useless and never used. There’s a hole on the top back to prevent overfilling; if you want to avoid a mess, don’t overfill. To get one mug of coffee it takes 3.5 ‘cups’ water on pot measure.

Good little maker – Compact, without all the unnecessary controls that make other, more expensive coffee makers such a pain to use. There is a timer if you need that, but if you keep your coffee maker unplugged when not in use (the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends unplugging electrical devices when not in use), you will have to reset the clock each time you plug it in. You do need to be sure that the filter basket is put in correctly, or it will overflow. This has never been a problem for me.
