Cheaper, better for the environment than Kurig single use. – If you usually make 1-2 cup coffee servings you don’t need a big coffee maker. My coffee is hotter and quicker using water straight from a quick heating electric kettle and pouring over coffee grounds in the Melitta cone straight into a mug. . They’ve improved on the old style cone—now the large gaps allow you to see how full the mug is so you don’t overfill. A coffee maker is unnecessarily complicated necessitating adding water to a reservoir and using a separate carafe. A single use Kurig is more expensive and adds lots of unnecessary plastic with each use. Highly recommend.

The best $5 you can spend! – If you’re a coffee lover, do yourself a favor and pick up one or two of these to have around (and don’t forget the filters). They’re ridiculously affordable, quick and easy to learn how to use for pour-over, and you don’t have to worry about throwing them in the dishwasher or sink. IMHO, still the simplest and best way to make yourself a fantastic cup of coffee.
