Nice, large French Press – It’s a nice, large French Press. I like that it’s insulated, hoping it keeps the coffee hot longer. I also plan to put this on a camp trailer so appreciate it’s stainless steel and there is no glass to break. Only minor complaint is the pluger handle top isn’t straight. Yeah, that’s just my OCD kicking in a little, but it just looks crooked and takes away a little from how nice this looks overall.

This French press however has been very sturdy, is a single metal container without screws or metal banding to come loose. It does have a metal on metal sound when pushing down the filter top, I found that it went away after a couple uses and some breaking in of the plunger. We like the sleek black design.

Unbreakable French Press – I bought this because someone who isn’t me was cleaning our clear glass french press carafe by tapping it not so gently against the side of the garbage can to get the bulk of the grounds out. Now those glass carafes are meant to withstand a lot, they don’t break easily, but this daily beating on the side of the garbage can for over a year had caused the glass to develop a crack that while wasn’t leaking it wasn’t going to stop getting longer either. I also wanted a french press that held more, in addition I wanted something that was not going to break ever, the pandemic had caused me to fear that supply chains would shut down and what would I do if my glass french press broke and I couldn’t get another one?! screw having food, if I can boil water I can have coffee so long as my glass french press doesn’t break. Now I don’t worry about it, the other person here can bang this one on the side of the house and it won’t crack. I also like the extra screens and the long spoon because apparently the other person here says I do not stir the coffee enough, well now I can. The press part is all metal, so it isn’t going to break either, I had one once where the screen part screwed onto a plastic part that was connected to the post and when it broke there was no fix, so this means it can’t break. The handle seems well attached, it hasn’t loosened at all and I don’t see how it would, it’s only held to pour coffee.
