Mountain dew slushy – I have been fiending for a mountain dew slushy and it’s only 2 locations here that sels them. One of them has been closed since covid started. Now I get to make them whenever I want. So easy and only about 30 minutes, I can get my fix.

It’s harder to use – I think that the directions to this machine suck. It is better to continuously add salt and ice to the machine especially if it is full liquid capacity. It does take a long time so pre cooling your water syrup is ideal. But at the end of the day you get an icee and that’s just what our at home movie theater wanted. Start beforehand and everything works great for movie night.

Great product, however …. – Great product, gets the job done exactly how you’d want it. The only issue I have is the time it takes to freeze the drink, but that is explained to you so I can’t complain. If you have patience, I recommend 100%.

Breaks too easily and hard too use – I bought this thinking it would make icees like in gas stations. and to be honest I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong or it just doesn’t make actually icees. Also within a week of purchasing a piece, the top chipped and every time id turn it on it would make this mechanical screeching noise. I ended up just super gluing it back together but I hadn’t even used it 3 times before it broke

NOT DISHWASHER SAFE – After one use, I put it in the dishwasher. The bottom rack was the only place it would fit. I discovered that the container had melted and warped, so the lid would no longer fit. Sad, but before that, it did what I expected. It wasn’t great, but it was mostly frozen. I do wish they had a recipe guide for making your own syrup.
