You will never get a full pot – Bought this to save space since I only drink 2 mugs (about 5 cups in a typical coffee pot) of the morning. It does save the space on my countertop, but no matter how full I fill the reservoir, it will never produce 5 cups of coffee (a full pot). Fill to the max line (5 cups), you get about 3.5 cups. Fill till water backs up in reservoir, and it will overflow the pot. I’m very disappointed that it won’t give back what you put in it, my previous maker (a 12 cup Mr Coffee) would give exactly how much you put in it. 6 cups water = 6 cups coffee in the old one. Wished they could get this one to do the same.

Happy with purchase. – I wanted to replace my huge kuerig single cup coffee make with something smaller that can actually brew more than one cup at a time. For my needs this little coffee maker is just right. I was able to preset the start time for my next morning cup(s). When set, the indicator light turns green. When brewing the light turns red. I forgot how much I missed the sound of brewing coffee. Once brewed it stays hot till turned off manually or automatically in two hours. I like that I can brew more than one cup at a time. The carafe looks small but it can hold several cups of coffee. The 4-6 cup mini filters fit perfect. My coffee is hot and tastes good with no residue. It’s of decent quality, operates well and I’m enjoying this coffee maker.

Bulky – I was looking for a small 4 cup coffee maker to replace my Mr. Coffee. This Hamilton Beach is bulkier, taking up a little too much counter space. But the biggest problem was finding a filter that would fit the basket. The filters I tried all were just too high so that when I closed the basket the side of the filter would be pushed over, leaving much of the water to drip missing the coffee grounds. Too much of a hassle.

I love it – Oh my goodness…I couldn’t be happier with this cute little coffeepot. Initially I had ordered the Elite Gourmet, but I was not satisfied with it because it leaked coffee each time I poured a cup. I decided the problem was probably due to the shape of the carafe, so I ordered this Hamilton Beach to give it a try. NO DRIPS!! I love this little 5 cup coffeepot, and it is very attractive with the combination black/stainless. The only thing it does not come with its own filter, but that was not a big concern for me…I just use paper filters.

Told me I could pick another coffee maker or other appliance from their website not exceeding my original purchase price. They would also provide free shipping and I did not have to return the malfunctioning coffee maker. So I did just that. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I retired that one because I really wanted an auto-shut off feature that the Hamilton Beach mini has. This one also has the basket style filter like the Mr. Coffee. Overall, I like the coffee maker. The water is hotter and that impacts the brew. It took a few tries before I got it right; I reduce the amount of coffee I use to achieve what I had with the Mr. Coffee. The coffee maker’s form factor is attractive and blends well with my other countertop devices. The only negative is the filter basket. I have to cut down or fold and mold the paper filter. Argg. However, the basket front is designed for easy removal for cleaning and it’s not hard to adjust the filter. If I don’t the hot water may fold the back of the filter down and allow grounds to drip into the pot. Molding the back of the filter fixes that. With auto drip coffee I like to use a Melitta flat disk filter first, then the basket style filter. The fold and mold issue is a minor inconvenience that earns a 1 star deduction. I do really appreciate that the coffee is significantly hotter than my what my Mr. Coffee put out. I might buy another for my office.
