My old hand held vacuum sealer died…. – I couldn’t find much selection of a handheld suction device that actually plugged into an electrical outlet to charge. This one does and charges quickly. Don’t know how long that charge holds because I replace it on the charger each time I use it. I find it works best with Foodsaver bags specifically designed for it–they tend to hold the seal longer. A bit more expensive but worth it in my opinion. It doesn’t take much time to suck out the extra air and it is obvious by looking at the bag with it is done. The suction device does not stop automatically when finished.

I froze Soup last night, then this morning I put the frozen soup in a suction bag, attached my little hand suction to the designated area and voila, it was ready to put in the freezer.
