as good as fellow, but not as nice – was looking for a decent kettle, but did not want to pay the fellow price hipster tax. aren’t we over this coffee hipster preciousness yet? it’s just hot water here people. so yes, this is definitely not as well built as the fellow, and maybe in general just not as nice to use. the buttons feel kinda cheap, the screen looks ok, but is not sleek like the fellow. but this is 1/3 the cost. think of all the experimental processed whackadoodle varietals that taste like over fermented beer and wine you could buy with the savings. you know, like 2 ounces worth if you buy from some of the more precious roasters with their wonderful extra packaging and false claims of transparency to go along with it.

Works great! Fraction of the price of other kettles! – Heats the water super fast and I love the design! After heating the water I store the heating element away in a drawer and display the beautiful kettle on my counter. I love that it works great and at the fraction of the price of other kettles. Highly recommend.

Honestly this kettle exceeded my expectations. – I expected hot water but the kettle holds the set temperature if you chose to have it do that with a press of a button. I recently bought a Clever to make pour over coffee which holds the grounds as the coffee brews. I bloom the grounds for 30 seconds and hold the brew for two minutes. The kettle helps me keep the time right with it’s easy to use timer. It does everything I want in an easy to use small package.

They shipped me a replacement (showed up really fast) and it’s perfect. I absolutely love this thing. Customer service is top notch.

Very impressive – I just received this kettle, so this is not a reliability review. However, I’m so impressed I felt moved to make a few comments. I purchased this with the coupon, so the cost was just over $50, less than a third of the cost of the comparable Fellows kettle – which my daughter owns. The look and feel of this is slightly less elegant than the fellows, but barely so. The controls are smooth and accurate (my digital thermometer agrees with the kettle’s temperature display within one degree). The timer and hold features are a bit less than intuitive, but well explained in the printed manual. The manual, incidentally, is extremely well put together and illustrated and hasn’t a hint of poor translation. Also, the packaging of the product and the manual is very nice – practically to “Apple” standards. The kettle claims to be made from 304 stainless (the best for this application) and seems to be so. The handle, as a copy of the Fellows, is perfect, the kettle is balanced, and the pour-over functionality is just right. Altogether this is very impressive. Now, if it holds up, it’ll be a complete winner.

Kinda’e Heavy – I’ve just given up my Bodum tea pot for this one. I love the ergonomics of the Bodum. Can’t say enough….but….it just boils. And I use a Flair 58 and need specific temps for the espresso. It’s hard enough without guessing about the water temp. So this Intasting has the temperature features but is more suited for pour overs than filling the top of the Flair. Just my opinion because I find it heavy and not that comfortable on my wrist. The Bodum is so wonderfully light! And the spout and pour about as perfect as can be. Maybe I’ll get used to this one….
