Never realized I was making bad toast. – Never expected a toaster to surprise me, let alone blow my mind.

Handy Extra Slots – I really didn’t think I needed a four slot toaster, but with the computer controls it is super handy to have the sets on different settings. Some really dense bread will not toast enough even at the maximum setting, which is oddly 7 and I wish it was 9, so with that loaf you can set the other side to 2 and get what you want. Mostly it works fine and looks really great. I have toasters that are uneven, which is a terrible trait, but this is good but not perfect as the middle is a bit more toasted than the edges but not by enough to reject the toaster unless someone has found the perfect toaster.

Two years and still going. – I’m not sure if I just got lucky with this one. Toasters don’t seem to last very long anymore. I’ve been through about four toasters in just as many years. This one is about two years old and still works as well now as it did when it was new. Definitely recommend.

ThT it doesn’t start a fire! – It’s hard to get the things that you push down on to stay down for the toast. Now it smells like it is burning so I unplugged it and haven’t used it since. I would like to have it replaced.

Single slice button is confusing – The toaster works well but the slots are just big enough for a bagel or a standard square piece of bread. Anything larger, like a slice of sourdough, needs to be cut in half. Also there is a button that says single slice. After a bunch of testing, what that means is any regular slice of toast in either or both slots. Not pressing single slice is bagel mode and the outside of the slice will get toasted more than the inside. It does have a stamped bagel shape in the metal of the toaster that shows that you put the cut face of the bagel to the outside but I have never seen a toaster where the default setting is bagel and all other bread needs a button pushed. Beyond that oddity, it toasts very well, is consistent and the 4 memory settings means everyone in the family can toast exactly the way they want!

Not As Well Made As Previous Models – My last toaster, a Cuisinart CPT-170, lasted for over 10 years. It was a solid little machine and I never had any complaints with it. So when it finally bit the dust a few months ago, I ordered a similar model, this time the 4 slice version (since I now have a family).

Consistently toasts different types of bread perfectly – I love the ability to choose the type of bread I am toasting. Each slice is toasted perfectly

Great Toaster – This toaster replaced one that was twice as expensive which would regularly burn toast, no matter what the setting was. This Cuisinart toaster, however, is great! It produces perfect toast every time on the same setting. All the settings one would need are there: Bread type, adjustable toasting time, toasting countdown display, and memory function. I do like the one slice feature which works very well. I highly recommend this toaster!
