Works well to be so small. – The one drawback is pouring out the used oil. Although there is an indentation to make it easier, the process is a bit messy for me. The little deep fryer does an adequate job for my purpose.

Good item – Temp control is good, fast recovery time. Cover keeps splatter to a minimum! All in all a good purchase.

Works Great – Got it today. Set it up an added oil. Set temp to 375. Temp was between 382 and 385 when the green light came on. Naturaly the temp droped after adding french fries. Bee carful when first lowering the basket, it will splatter before you get the lid closed. Also be careful when you open the lid. The steam will release and it hot. I love the size. It perfect for my travel trailer. I didn’t have any problem with the power cord. As long as you don’t move the fryer after it’s pluged in. Must unplug in order to turn off.

It’s a nice little fryer with limitations – I decided to give it a try for dinner. For its first use, I fried hush puppies and catfish fillets for my wife and myself. On the positive side, it is compact and easy to clean. I had a few small negative observations about it. First, it does not have an “off” setting. If it’s plugged in, it is on. That said, with the fryer set to its highest temperature (375 degrees), it heated the cooking oil and indicated it was ready to use fairly quickly. Like others have mentioned, it actually reached a maximum temperature of 362 degrees, 13 degrees shy of the setting. My last negative comment doesn’t come as a surprise because its dimensions are stated. It’s small. I had to cut two small catfish fillets into 3 pieces each, and had to cook each of those 6 pieces individually. It’s time consuming. With all that said, it appears to be well made. You might just want to consider a little larger unit if you’re going to be cooking for any more than just yourself (like two folks).

Love it! – Perfect size for a one person household! I fried chicken on my first try and it turned out so good, that I quickly put the fryer away in the back of my cabinet! Why you ask? Because it’s too easy to use and clean up afterwards, takes up a small amount of counter space, you don’t have to buy a large bottle of oil and most importantly, I don’t want to gain weight too easily! Ugh! Did a beautiful job to the chicken wings I fried.

More features than fry daddy – The main game changer for me versus the fry daddy was that it has adjustable temperature. The fry daddy is a really nice kitchen appliance, but it lacks the temperature adjustment knob. I really like my new fryer. It’s just the right size for a couple of folks or a small family. Does a nice job of frying a variety of foods.

Good but not best – Overall not bad but the magnetic plug is a real pain. It has disconnected so easy that it is more a hassle then a safety feature.

VERY NICE BUT NO ON/OFF SWITCH – I like the design, but there is no on/off switch, requires unplugging after each use. Great safety feature… if you have kids or cats or something. An inconvenience for the rest of us. Otherwise, the wide design makes easy work of large batches and the lid keeps spatter to a minimum.
