A great addition to the kitchen – I’ve had the 20qt air fryer for about three weeks now, and have cooked several items in it. It’s easy to program and use, and has several trays to select

Game changer – I have an earlier model of this air fryer and we bought this one as a housewarming gift for a friend. I cook almost everything in it. My oven and microwave almost never get turned on. I love that it’s got multiple racks like an oven. Leftover foods like pizza and fried chicken are even better than when they were fresh after being reheated in this because they’re crispier. This week I’ve made ‘sun dried’ tomatoes using the dehydrator setting, apple chips, roasted a duck on the rotisserie, made duck fat sweet potato wedges, and baked corn bread.

No-splatter grilling, easy cleanup, HUGE energy savings – Juicy grilled meat, poultry, fish and veggies without the awful smoky, splattery mess of stove top grilling! That’s the reason I chose the grill model and it has far exceeded my hopes. Super easy to clean. Air fryer does a fantastic job with pork tenderloin, which can easily dry out on a grill or in a regular oven. The temp probe works wonderfully. Air fryer basket is roomier than I’d expected– for example, it holds 2 delicata squash cut lengthwise (4 halves)in one layer or several cups of cubed squash piled up (stirring partway thru). You get that wonderful crispy sear on the outside and tender inside that you can’t get in the oven, and with just a tsp of oil! It’s mind boggling.. And I have *dramatically* reduced my use of the regular oven, saving tons of energy and energy costs in the process, not to mention not heating up the kitchen. What a terrific product.

MAGICAL MEAL MAKER!!!! – This air fryer earned a permanent counter spot. I use it almost daily, and I’ve even made things I’d never thought would be delicious in an air fryer. Fish fillets seasoned with only a light spray of quality oil and all kinds of seasoning blends come out restaurant quality delicious! Blackened, elote seasoning, Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, each was amazing!!!!! Roasted veggies, hamburgers brushed with a little liquid smoke, yes, even steak, pretty much anything!!!!!! Super easy to clean, just wipe with damp paper towel while still warm. I also wrap the bottom tray with foil and just throw away when done. I’m amazed at how simple it is to adjust time and temp. The preset 15 min at 400 is a great guide and the light allows you to eyeball doneness easily. It’s so easy, it’s like magic! It’s hard to screw up with this, and it’s big enough to cook several things at the same time. So pleased that this compact size is such a big performer!!!!!

Nice product – I bought this as a replacement for another one that I’d recently purchased and didn’t like. Chefman is a good brand name and reading other’s reviews, it seemed to be just what I wanted. I use it mostly for toasting and warming things up but it does work well as an air fryer. The recipe book that you get with it has a lot of good ideas in it, which I haven’t tried yet. The ONLY negative thing that I have to say is that the digital cooking temperatures aren’t always what I want. I was cooking something that called for a 390 degree setting, which I just used the 400 and adjusted the amount of time, slightly.

Didn’t work out for me, not what I was hoping for. – Ok, I try not to leave bad reviews because I feel bad. I understand that a product is created by people and people are relying on that product so I hate to feel that any negativity I may have experienced would reflect poorly on that product and it’s origins. I’m going to preface this by saying maybe for other households, this might be a mighty little appliance. It didn’t do for me. I was looking for something to replace my air fryer and my convection toaster oven, but I needed it to be something that would function at least 85% as well for both appliances. The good points – It’s cute. It’s very streamlined, almost like a little space capsule. Doesn’t have a large footprint on the counter; it’s so shiny and black and came with all of its accessories all perfectly packaged. And for the record, I did not notice any gas off odors while cooking. I won’t say that was any issue for me. No problems there. So I took everything out and washed/prepped it for my first use (and the only one as it would turn out). I wanted to make fries. Now I’m a french fry fanatic. I mean, I love them. Everyone in my life knows that the key to my heart is french fries. Co-workers need some assistance at work? Sure, if you want to return the favor…bring me some fries. I don’t need Starbucks man, carb me up! So here I am; I figure, what’s easier to do than frozen fries. I put some in all the top 2 layers and put 2 frozen beef patties on the bottom layer. Well, I’ll be darned if that thing took forever to cook the food. I mean it; it was like 3 cycles of 20 minutes each. I could not figure what was wrong. It was hot; it’s not like it didn’t get hot. I rotated the trays; I shuffled things around It wasn’t overfilled although on that note, I don’t think it was what I would consider a family size oven. Of course, I’m not comparing it to a standard oven, it just seemed like the usable space inside was not enough to accommodate the amount of food needed to feed more than 1-2 with ease. I’m not a large person; 5 feet tall and 100 pounds soaking wet; my husband is 6 feet and tipping the scales at 220 so I guess the 2 of us is like 3 average-ish people. If we had kids, somebody was not going to get fed. So after all that trying and shuffling and watching and waiting, in the end; it suddenly went over the threshold for yumability in a heartbeat. I figured I’d go all out and toast the buns; it worked only nominally better. Not the best toasting, that also took some finagling. Maybe it wasn’t the machine, maybe it was me; it sensed my doubt and could not live up to my hopes and dreams. Well, it was a very sad dinner that we had that night with the dried out fries and the dried out burgers. I was bitter. And then I had to wash those trays. Nope; that was not fun. I soaked them and scrubbed them with a brush and got them somehow clean again, but I had already come to the conclusion that our short relationship had come to an end. I sent it packing the next morning; I hadn’t even had it a whole 24 hours. I will give you that I did not test out it’s other functions. But if it don’t air fry and toast well for me; then it’s got to go. I won’t say don’t give it a try yourself. Take it with a grain of salt. I’ve sometimes ready glowing reviews for things that I thought was madness and sometimes took a chance on items that didn’t get great reviews for which the product performed like a rock star. Maybe I didn’t give it enough tries. I can’t say because that moment has passed. I did end up buying a different brand’s air fryer convection oven grill appliance and I gotta say I love it. Shop around, read the reviews, decide for yourself. Just throwing my thoughts out in the universe for absorption.
