Fast, efficient and worry free – I got this electric kettle for my folks. It is perfect for them to make hot water on every morning for a big pot of tea. Their old stove top kettle takes forever to boil specially in the winter time and they have no patient and sometimes walk away and forget they have the cooker on. Yeah, they burned a few pots and luckily they did not need to call 911. They are old, slow, forgetful and not as strong when they used to be. They did not want a glass one because they are afraid they would break the glass part by accident (they know they are old and keep dropping things now and then.) Anyway, this electric kettle is made with good quality material and strong. It lites up when using and automatic stops when done. It is simple to use unlike some other fancy looking kind with 10 more functions/buttons that old folks don’t need. They are very pleased with this electric kettle. I would definitely recommend this for seniors!

So good I bought another. – My first of these was an Xmas gift almost 10 years ago. I’ve traveled with it and use it every day. It’s still going strong but is kept at a different home. I bought another because the Mueller I bought last year is leaking into the electrical housing of the kettle. I should have just sprung for the Breville to begin with. Buy cheap and you get cheap. I’ll gladly pay extra for a kettle that will last.

Works but slightly banged up! – Saved us $20 versus a new one. It does look new, but there was a couple small dings I. The base and a few scratches on the top plastic lid. It works though and replaces the same one we had for 6 years but recently stopped working.

The new one seem equally good although I have only used in now for about 4 months. I read in some reviews that it was not as well made as the old ones but so far it seems quite the same. Time will tell, but for now seems excellent.

Works fine but noisy, switch not ideal – After using a friend’s electric kettle, I was a convert: no more hanging around waiting to catch the steam kettle early in its shrieking notification of readiness. I could turn it on and go outside to do a short chore and it would be okay even if I forgot about it.
