Versatile! – I am very impressed with this coffee maker. I like the different options for strength of brew, for over ice, and for selecting different sizes. The fold down shelf for use with a mug is very handy as well. The one thing I would like added to this machine is the option to have the keep warm plate for longer than two hours. Other than that, I think it fits want I want completely.

Too easy to hit the Clean button! – Makes good coffee, not too hard to use overall. Not really sure why it’s priced so high though honestly. My biggest complaint is that it’s TOO easy to hit the clean button! It’s right above the power button and once you’ve hit it, there’s no way to cancel it! Who wants to wait for their coffee or has time for that matter if you’re in a hurry in the mornings! I drink decaf in the afternoons but I can only imagine how many times I would have hit the clean button by accident if i came bleary eyed into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee or had a baby on my hip possibly fussing in my ear. Our machine is located underneath our cabinet and in order to prepare the coffee it has to be pulled out and then pushed back. I have accidentally pushed it more than once this way even though I am careful and so has my husband. I really don’t like to complain but honestly that clean button was not put in a good spot! I just used up my last bit of decaf and realized I had hit the clean button, so now i’m out of coffee stuck waiting another day for my pumpkin spice latte.

Flavor is OK, but too many other negatives – I ordered the Braun MultiServe, model KF9070SI, because it seemed to have all the features I wanted. UNDER JUST THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES, it makes good enough coffee, and compared to my old machine, at a much better temperature and much faster (it is SCA gold-cup certified). But bells and whistles don’t make up for good design, and there are enough major drawbacks that I would never have purchased this had I known what I know now.
