Great frother! – This is a really good frother. I went through a couple Jura frothers before finding this one. Both Jura’s basically failed on me. Bodum better for far less money & a superior product in my opinion. I’ve had this Bodum for about 1-1/2 yrs with zero issues. Used EVERY DAY with very few exceptions & it still froths like new. I’d highly recommend this product!

Should I keep it? – My frother stopped working after 6 weeks. Came to turn it on one morning and … nothing. No light, no whir. chatted with Amazon and was going to return it. Got it boxed up. Came to this page and typed in “stopped working” and saw I wasn’t the only person. Someone said “If I align the copper tab on the base with the on/off switch on the frother, it usually froths!!” I went to try it, and it was working again. Fingers crossed.

Keep an eye out for overflow, but otherwise fantastic! – I have found that it makes a mess whether you have it filled to the max line or not so you have to keep an eye on it. But still worth the purchase since it is warming the milk while it is frothing 🙂

A poor copy of the Nespresso one – I own a Nespresso milk heater/ frother so I wanted to get a second one for the office but they’re kind of expensive, so I bought this name brand one, thought it’d be pretty similar. It’s not. This lacks the quality, heft and feel of the Nespresso one, it is much noisier and just seems lower quality. I guess that’s to be expected considering the difference in price. It does work though, it heats and whips the coffee. Like the Nespresso one you can remove the spiral whisk attachment from the spindle that spins, so it still froths the milk and makes foam but not as much. It heats the milk, not as quickly as the Nespresso one, but it does. Does not seem to make it as hot though. It also keeps the milk warm after the whisk stops spinning, you can heat/ whip your milk, leave it switched on and it’ll maintain that temp. It is lined with Teflon that makes it easy to clean. If you’re not familiar, these use magnetic drive to spin the whisk. The whisk has a magnet in it, the drive motor in the base also has a magnet, the whisk sits down on a shaft and the magnetism couples the two and keeps the whisk in place so it remains water tight and easy to clean.

Good little frother for the price – cleaning tips included here. – My wife and I used mostly for non-dairy milks (Soy, Flax, and Coconut). It didn’t really froth these milks greatly. Soy yielded the best results. The frother got the milk nice and hot. Used 2-4 times a day for 6 months until it stopped working just last week. Used for caffe latte’s, chai teas, and hot cocoa. While it was working, we really enjoyed it. It was super user-friendly and simple. Customarily, we would froth the milk, rinse it out with hot water then store it upside down in our kitchen sink strainer.
