It’s a toaster. It makes toast. – Yes, you can make 4 slices of toast at once, and yes, the timer thing works fine so it can be light or dark as you prefer. It looks nice, too. But based on the picture I had expected a standard metal toaster like Black & Decker always made, when in fact it’s black plastic. Seems a bit flimsy: not sure whether it will hold up over time, but so far, so good. One other limiting factor: the spring that raises the toast when done is a little weaker than it should be, so the toast slips about a quarter-inch back down after popping. You can still get hold of it without putting your fingers in the hot zone but there isn’t a lot of room to spare.
