Perfection – … !! My frother arrived yesterday and this morning I made my first perfect cappuccino. This is what I did: I made a full cup of coffee as usual and made the minimum amount of foam/steamed milk (the frother works exactly as promised). To accommodate the full cup of coffee … AND the ample amount of foam … I did NOT use a normal sized coffee cup. I opted for a 24-oz, double-walled, Tervis plastic tumbler (available on Amazon) … and it ALL fit! What a treat!!

Works great with the right milk – We’ve used this everyday (many times multiple times a day) for a few months now. It’s ridiculously easy to use and very simple to clean. As with any milk frothing, you have to pay attention to the type of milk. We use Fairlife whole and chocolate milk with perfect success. The Barista Oatmilk unfortunately did not froth well at all. I like that you can use large or small amounts of milk to avoid waste. One thing to note (and why I took off one star), while it is nice and quiet during the frothing process, the beep to let you know its done kind of makes my ears bleed. At least its brief when it beeps.

It makes great foam for lattes and cappuccinos. The problem is that they seem to have a relatively short usage life. I’ve purchased two of these, one for myself, and then another for my parents later. The one I purchased for my parents lasted about a week before giving out and having to be replaced, and the replacement from Amazon seems to have lasted until recently. Mine was purchased in October and as of today has died and cannot froth the milk anymore. It sounds like whatever magnet spins the frothing piece has lost power to its motor and cannot get up to speed anymore. I think almost daily use has worn it down. Still, it was great for the 6 months or so I got out of it.
