Handheld Vacuum Pump Surprised Me – The pump is quite powerful for its size. I made a few mistakes and lost some bags. Pressing down on a bag too hard when using the pump can break the ring on a bag and render it useless. Minor learning curve.

I love the idea but….. – The bags do not keep their seal, even when completely closing the very top of the bag and suctioning out all the air and pressing the red button. As much as I love this concept, it’s very difficult to keep out moisture from the unit and damaging the unit. It’s difficult to keep the bags air free even though the concept is awesome, there is almost no way that air does not get back into that bag. I have tried everything. I really wanted to use these bags for souvide, but it doesn’t seem to work.

You can’t use this to marinate food or you’ll damage the device regardless of what they advertise. – I like this device with a few exceptions. I have a Food Saver Vacuum Sealer which I’ve used for years. It works great, but is difficult on occasion to get a seal which is frustrating. Although you can reuse the bags until they are finally cut too short to reuse. There is an ongoing cost of having to replace the bags. That is where the Fresh and Save is handy, which makes it easier to reuse the bags. Also the Fresh and Save takes up a lot less space and is easier to use and handier.

Best vacuum sealing system I have used. – I was buying this just a test out to see if it would be good come to find out this is one of the better vacuum sealing systems I have used would suggest buying at least two packs of the large bags you might need them

4 stars ONLY b/c I bought this for the containers (not the bags), so can’t rate it fully yet – First off, I was a little worried about some of the more recent reviews about this item not sealing or keeping a seal, so I almost didn’t get it…but when I looked at alternative options, I didn’t see anything that stood out value-wise, particularly b/c I was looking for glass storage dishes instead of plastic. I took a leap of faith, and have been really happy so far.
