I was a little suspicious of seller’s claim that it’s genuine rosewood but I took a chance and was relieved to find not only is that true but it appears to have been turned from one block of wood because the grain lines match just like fine furniture. In fact, I was so impressed I went ahead and ordered another for our vacation home rather than having to do the rigorous cleaning that prudence would dictate to have a smooth transition through TSA at the airport. I would show you a picture if I were not such a techno-klutz
