Good, cheap kettle – This kettle is a good, no-frills choice if you are looking for one which boils water quickly and quietly. I got this kettle for $5 off to augment the Hamilton Beach kettle I bought at Target for $15 bucks a few years ago, because my HB kettle is too noisy and I needed the spout this kettle has.

Love this upgraded kettle – I bought an electric kettle by the same brand a couple years ago. This is definitely an upgrade! The previous one was dropped and the lid bent a little preventing a full seal. However, this one has a stronger gooseneck, better handle with the thumb grip, and the lid is larger making it easier to fill and close. The max line is also easier to see as you fill. I was extremely happy with my previous one but I am happy to have decided to try this newer one. It also has a drip opening at the base–this is helpful because am not always careful when I fill it and I tend to spill water. So happy with the upgrades. This one even heats up the water faster and has more capacity.

Not hot enough for coffee – I tested this product and it only got up to 170°. The ideal temperature for coffee is minimally 190°. It looked good it felt good worked nicely but it does not get hot enough. Looking through other water kettles I noticed several that have variable temperatures you can use based on tea, what type of tea or coffee. I wish this worked better because it looked really nice in my kitchen. Send it back and have not selected another one yet
