      Nice unit, not automatic – I really like the construction of the cups. They are very easy to clean. The power is good and it’s able to shred ice and make smoothies. Unfortunately, it’s a two handed operation. You need to hold onto the unit to operate. The unit I had before this only required you to insert the cup and it would run by itself. With thhis blender you need to keep the button pressed in.

I am known as the blender buster… I am hard on blenders of all kinds. I’ve sworn them off and have been using a stick blender for years now, which is okay but limited in power and application. I ordered this to chop herbs and now use it almost exclusively for everything. It easily pulverizes everything you put in there with a push of ONE button. So if you’re wanting fancy settings and options, this is not for you. I personally love the fact that it’s THAT easy and straightforward… fill it up with ice, dried fruit, frozen fruit, greens, whatever, and press the button. You could probably put concrete in there and it’d be okay. If you want to pulse, just push the ONE button over and over. Duh…
