Fairly good machine – I made some French fries to start and it was so much easier than frying in a deep frying pan with oil. It was hardish to know if it was the right temp tho. Bit when i dropped them in,.they just happily fried for 12 mins and were delicious.

So far so good. Used it twice so far, I like it. – Used it for egg rolls and French fries. Heats up good. Don’t fill past Max oil amount, bottom of basket will sit in oil.

Decent – So far mine hasn’t broken like some others are saying in the reviews. Though I’ve only used it a handful of times. Frying oil is expensive so I’m not taking this apart, maybe ever? The only time you risk breaking this is when you take it apart to clean it. I actually bought this for my grandmother, though I also use it (we share a house… her house…). I have a thin kitchen towel that I lay over top of this to cover the steam vent and frying basket slots in the lid when not in use, to keep any dust or whatever from settling into the grease (our old fryer had a different sort of lid, so this wasn’t an issue, but it has a weird mechanical basket level control lever thing which broke, so I got this to replace it until I can get around to fixing the old one. I don’t expect this one to last more than a few years just because designed obsolescence is the market norm these days).

My worst 5-Star Review ever. Read B4 you buy! – I really don’t like the ‘star system’, and this talented-but-flawed-yet-ultimately-redeemable Deep Fryer by Presto is a perfect example.

Great little deep fryer without breaking the bank. – Wanted to dabble with deep frying and my better half was brow beating me for using her expensive Le Crueset Dutch Oven so I decided to show her a thing or two and place this bad boy on the kitchen counter, fill it with oil and started pumping out chicken wings, french fries, fried chicken sandwiches, tempura veggies and shrimp, and as soon as she lets me back in the house I plan on mastering fried chicken sandwiches… BOOM!.
