I Love It! The free coffee container is tiny and not useful for coffee. – Makes great quality coffee with the double screen plunger, ground free if you’re careful not to overfill it. Coffee stays hot quite a while especially when you haven’t drained it too fast. I usually get a few 6oz cups down over 45 minutes and it’s still fairly warm. You have to clean the grounds from around the edges of the screens on the plunger well, not too difficult. With the way it holds heat I have been able to experiment with longer steeping time without loosing the heat like a quickly cooling off glass carafe press. I like 8 minutes for a more robust flavor using less coffee which is getting expensive, most of us French Press people use a good bean and not Folger’s. The free “gift” hidden in the bottom of the box isn’t useful but you’re buying for the press which is outstanding!

Really happy with purchase. – Not as simple as a good quality drip coffee maker. But for 1 or two mugs, this works really well and the double layer decanter is a plus. IMO, the seal on the plunger works OK with coarsely ground coffee, but for a bit finer grind, I imagine an Espro P3 at about $40 might be preferred.

Household staple! – Due to our Breville having issues, we purchased the Mueller French Press for a temporary fix, but it has become a mainstay. It does an excellent job of maintaining a good seal during the press process. It is double walled so keeps the coffee blazing hot but the outside is just warm. We previously had a glass french press for camping and, as feared, the glass shattered with temperature extremes. This press is easy to disassemble (one turning motion unscrews all the filters and coiled bottom) and very easy to clean. It doesn’t stain and looks brand new. Highly recommend!

No More Broken Presses – I use this daily and it still looks great and performs well. I didn’t want any type of plastic in contact with hot water and this is perfect for that with the added benefit of never breaking the glass.

Makes Great Tasting Coffee! – My husband is retired, so he doesn’t mind the extra work to clean it over a regular drip type coffee pot. We use the regular drip type pot every day and this FP one when we want coffee with exceptional flavor. It makes a huge difference in taste though it’s a little extra work to make/clean we love the taste and it’s a very well made piece of hardware. For FP it’s as easy as any to clean, more work than a regular drip machine, but if you don’t mind a little extra work the flavor is fantastic, somehow it pulls more oil out of the beans, you can see the sheen on top. We do have a Cuisinart Burr-Mill type coffee grinder and grind the beans fresh.

Good choice – Not as pretty as the glass French press we see in used in movies where the rich people are sitting outside on their beautiful patios with someone serving them breakfast, however, this works really well. It strains better than my former glass press and I won’t be breaking it.

Nicely made French Press – This is my first time owning a French press that I bought to process some special coffee. It seems to work well. I did notice steam coming out as it is brewing and thought why isn’t the top sealing better.

The insulated 4 level filtration just works. – I loved this French press. After breaking a dozen or more glass ones over the years, I decided it was time to spend a little more and get a much better press. The insulation keeps my tea or coffee hot for over an hour, so I can grab a cup right before heading to work in the morning. I make Yerba Mate, coffee and green tea in this and the 4 level filtration system grabs every bit of leaf and ground. Super easy to clean and set up in the morning, just add hot water.
