Carafe keeps coffee very warm. – Have had many coffee makers costing more than this. But this one makes better coffee, is well designed, and has an easy to fill reservoir. Carafe keeps coffee piping hot for a couple hours and the maker itself reminds you how long ago you brewed it. Carafe pours well.

Very good coffee maker – First coffee maker arrived in sealed box missing the carafe cap. How does that happen? Amazon replaced the coffee maker, and it definitely is a great machine. It’s very sleek looking and simple to use. The buttons (more like a flat pad) take just a bit of pressure to start, program or change the time. The water reservoir removes easily for filling as does the coffee basket. It comes with one round water filter disc, and replacement filters are relatively inexpensive. I also purchased the gold filter basket, but found that it tends to be messy to clean. I now only use a paper filter and it’s much better, especially when making a full pot. It makes a nice, hot, rich cup of coffee on the normal setting but I only tried the “strong “ setting once, as it took considerably longer to brew. The stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee hot for a couple of hours. I do fill it up with hot water the night before, but be sure to only do this if you’re not using the Auto Brew setting! I do think the “minutes from brew time” is unnecessary. Overall, I really like this coffee maker. I would give it a 4.5 stars, with cleaning the coffee basket a bit of a pain, as the grounds tend to rise up in the filter and get onto the round water filter.

About Time I purchased this Coffee Maker – In the last few months i’ve tried multiple coffee makers. So many in fact I kept waiting on a call from Amazon to tell me to stop it:) To be honest for some un-known reason I was shying away from the Mr.Coffee brand looking for something better… to be honest you can spend several hundred dollars but you will not find a better cup of coffee, hands down. Easy to clean and easy to prepare. Love the brew later function and the display is big and bright and is up high. I hate the low displays that get everything spilled on them and bumped. The unit is not small and its only draw back I have found. My kitchen is limited on counter space, but I found a way. Coffee is very hot and the thermal pitcher keeps it that way for hours. No more scorching of coffee. Amazon, i’m done. My search is over.
