didnt last very long – I have used this kettle twice each day since I bought it. It has been easy to use and easy to clean. I love it. Today the on off switch started to go bad. Now I have to adjust it to get it to work. It doesnt seem safe anymore. Ive only had it for 15 months so Im not happy to replace it so soon. I wish it had lasted longer.

Smells a little metallic but not a big deal because the water doesn’t taste like metal. I would give it 5 stars but the base is very flimsy so I’m not confident in its durability over the long term. Fast and cheap kettle. – Me and my wife drink quite a bit of tea, hot cocoa and other hot drink mixes. This is my first kettle and honestly I couldn’t ask for much more. They’re absolutely no temperature control, but it does seem to have some safety features (I did accidentally get the base wet and although there was a pop it did seem to turn itself off until it dried back out) It also won’t melt down if for instance your cat manages to turn it on with no water in it because for some reason the little clear plastic toggle switch seems like a toy to a cat with the light behind it. My only real complaint is the lid doesn’t even open up 90° My kitchen faucet is the fancy spray handle kind so it’s not really an issue for me. But if you had a normal kitchen sink where the water can only go straight down, it might be a bit inconvenient. The lead not opening all the way up and as far as I can tell not being removable also kind of makes it a bit of a pain to clean (realistically, you should be dumping it out once you’re done so it stays dry and only using water so it stays clean)
