Easy Peasy – I absolutely love this thing. I used to bake cakes for a living. Now that I’m retired I wanted something small and simple that would do many things. I keep this on my counter as it is a slim machine. Came with paddle, whisk and dough hook. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Looks terrific. SO GLAD I didn’t spend a ton of money on a Kitchenaid. This meets all of my needs.

Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer – I absolutely LOVE this mixer!! My only regret is that it doesn’t have a removeable hand mixer, so I had to buy one. But that’s ok!! Now all I have to do is use my smaller hand mixer instead of the larger stand mixer. Either way, I’ll thoroughly enjoy this stand mixer, mainly because of the paddle attachement!! And the extra dough hooks and beaters, too!! And you can’t beat the price…

Compact, light, and goodlooking! Hope it delivers! – Update May 17th 2018: First time ever made pizza dough on this on Speed 1 with hook. 2 cups bread flour to 2/3rds cup warm water. and 1.3 tbsp oil. Kneaded it 10 mins as per instructions with a fistful or 2 of flour thrown in so not to get sticky. Had to shut off and scrape 2 to 3 times. BUT, the motor didn’t strain, there was some head shaking but not seriously so, and no heat production. Although there was some plastic grating noise and I assume it’s from the plastic gears inside. This small mixer can be used for dough if only as instructed and shut off before motor gets hot or strained. I wouldn’t do it more than 10-15 mins max without shutting even on low. For keeping this for a longer time and not run it to the ground as what happened to a customer here in 6 months of usage. This is also good for absolute beginners, teenagers etec who are willing to use it as a learning tool and graduate pretty soon to something higher. Definitely not meant for years and years of usage. Of course if you use it only a few times a year, it can last you years and years.

Awesome Blender – Awesome blender especially considering the price! I mixed a meatball batch and it worked perfectely! Plenty of power even at low speeds. It did not slow down at all and blended the ingredients with no issue. I have not tried it yet with a cake batter or dough put I’m certain it will perform well. I had a KitchenAid prior and it started to leak oil from the head. In all fairness it was probably over 25 years old. With that said the HB blender seemed to mix better than the KitchenAid. Hopefully it will last half the life of the KitchenAid.

Not user friendly – It is difficult to get the top to go up and down. Rather than having a lock and unlock setting with the ability to move the mount up or down whenever it’s unlocked, there is a button to release it up or down. The button has to be pushed the entire time it’s moving, so it takes two hands: one to hold the button and one to flip the top up or down. It often also gets stuck, so it is not user friendly at all, especially if you have anything on your hands.

Good product – I like this product for the most part. However, while using it to make cookie dough, I noticed that it didn’t touch every part of the bowl, so there was some mixing that didn’t happen. But since I am not a serious baker, the price point for this product was great for me. I will probably only use it a few times a year.
