– I have a small kitchen so I find this unit a bit large and we are just 2 in the household. I have been experimenting a lot with the unit and find that the dehydrator is just not for me. I tried dehydrating bananas and found that they stuck to the silver bracket and they were hard to clean. Things that are fantastic in the air fryer. Fries, whether fresh or frozen, Italian sausages (better than the BBQ, oven or stove top), wings, drumsticks, boneless-skinless chicken breasts (very juicy). Tried a whole small chicken and it was to die for. Crispy skin, juicy breasts (cooked upside down then turned. Put too large a chicken in once and had a smoke show..so be careful..not too big. Still experimenting, veggies are great, broccoli and cauliflower get burned a bit. Easy to clean. One negative…I eat way too many fries now. Baked potatoes are awesome. Nice machine.

Can’t believe I waited so long to get this. – I’ve been on a ketogenic diet for just over a year and one of the keto bloggers that I like had recommended one of the other GoWise models—the one that’s more like an oven, with the rotisserie feature, etc. I had that in my Amazon cart for the better part of the past year. Almost bought it so many times but stopped myself each time. I love the idea of an air fryer but it’s a new way of cooking and I’m such a creature of habit. It felt overwhelming/intimidating to me to be learning to cook my dishes a new way—on top of just learning to cook keto.
