A Great Home Expresso Machine – We have been looking into purchasing a home expresso machine and decided to pass on more expensive models and go with a starter machine. Let me tell you this thing does not disappoint. I purchased quality beans from my favorite coffee shop, a decent grinder, along with a few additional accessories and now make awesome lattes at home. I can honestly say we are not even gotten super fancy with our measurements using scale and the expresso comes out great.

Fantastic Machine! – Everything about this Gevi is awesome. I had never made expresso before (I am a huge Americano fan) and this was incredibly easy to learn how to operate and is super reiliable, given we use it multiple times a day in the house. Nice size water tank and easy to clean. Best coffee we have ever made at home. We use Illy expresso which is a great start for sure.

Pretty Good Overall – The machine came well packaged and everything is present as advertised. As others have mentioned, it feels a bit cheaply made, but it is quite nice to look at. With that said, it pulls a decent espresso. Not what you would get from an actual cafe, but good for an at home machine under $500. The steam wand however is pretty crap. At best you make lukewarm cappuccino foam. The wand is too short and doesn’t push out enough steam pressure to actually froth the milk properly. But even at that, it’s still better than those handheld steam wands you can buy for $15. All in all, it’s worth it for under $200. If you want something more professional, save up and don’t get this.

I looked through the videos and reviews for some hints on what could be going wrong. –I like a very strong cup of coffee, latte, cappuccino, espresso shot, etc. If it’s not strong, I don’t enjoy it and most coffee that I don’t get in a coffee shop doesn’t hit the mark. But I figured it out. I cracked the code. It took me about a week or so of trial and error (trying once a day) and now I can make my perfect latte (my favorite drink and the one I’ve been working on). I’ll tell you what I do, but this may not be your secret recipe. Give it a chance, you can figure out your favorite way with this machine too.
