It’s a nice little cooker – I really like the cooker and it works well but I just relieved it 3 days ago. The pot is not stainless steel because it’s already pitted after the second use. Deal-breaker

Not a 40 watt lunchbox steamer – Worked well steaming rice, veg and meat while camping.

Seems to work but no usable instructions – Arrived poorly packaged in banged-up, cheap cardboard box with no outer box to protect it. Product appeared undamaged, but I don’t know how based on condition of the package. The instructions are all but useless. For instance,

Cute But Needs More Instruction – I bought this to use at my new job at lunch time and haven’t brought it with me yet. Set up is easy but I would like more instruction to come with the device.

Came in damaged but still like it – The box came in almost 2 weeks early so im happy about that. However the box was completely damaged and the plastic lid to contain the bigger bowl of food was cracked so its useless. I used it once so far and it made good ramen noodles. Used way to much water though.

Love it!!! – I did get it in broke with the bottom cracked where you put the water to heat up the food. They sent a replacement right away so I did have to wait an extra 3weeks. Let me tell you though I’ve been experimenting with recipes with this and I can say perfect portion for a person and been finding I can cook many recipes with this. I do add two cups of water (the measuring cup it comes with) into the machine to cook as it does cook with steam and this way it doesn’t burn the little pan. Especially when I take to work and heat it up in between clients. Overall I love this little gadget!!! Thank you guys for the replacement I truly love this item!!!

Looks sooo cute – but rusts immediately – You can’t beat the cute looks. And it functions. You’ll have to set a timer for rice to turn it off, since timing it with the right amount of water in the bottom would require experimenting. The rice/water mix ratio in the bowl itself depends on the kind of rice. For Jasmin Rice 1:1 seems to work nicely for firm non-sticky rice. Now to the rust. As shown in attached photo, the big “stainless steel” bowl is already rusted after one single use. Wiping that off does not look like brown rust on the paper towel but more black. Reading reviews of other brands of “stainless steel” rice cookers, and seeing photos of bowls over time having the “stainless” surface covered in stains, that is concerning. I have NEVER had a stainless steel pot, bowl, utensil or such in the kitchen rust, ever. So, as much as a like the cute looks of this machine, I am worried about this “rust” issue getting worse over time. So I returned it right away. Since at that point I had no replacement rice cooker at hand, I tried steaming rice in a vegetable steamer pot, in a ceramic bowl 1:1 ratio Jasmin rice to water. 30 minutes steam, perfect outcome. I don’t see the need for a rice cooker anymore.
