Good for what it is – We were stuck with this as our stove during an 8-month kitchen renovation. Temp control is “iffy” but worked fine, we didn’t use it a ton but it saw plenty of use and worked fine every time.

Cannot be used for pressure canning – I bought this to use with my Presto 16 qt pressure canner. Sadly, the way the heat clicks on and off when it’s on its highest setting, it won’t heat enough to build up steam in the canner. I left it on high for over an hour and it was still warm enough for me to touch the side with my hand. And it was loaded with all hot ingredients, jars and water. I really wish I could find a burner like this that could handle a pressure canner. This is probably a good burner if all you want to do is normal cooking (although I’m not sure if you wanted to bring a large pot to boil) so I still gave it a good rating. They probably should include in the description that it cannot be used for pressure canning.
