great coffee with a catch – I’ve had two of these coffee makers before. I love the coffee it makes and appreciate the features. It’s a quick and consistent brew. The hopper and burr grinder are great. Here’s where this coffee maker fails after a two or three years of use.

Fine, convenient coffee with a loud grinder – I’ve been using a French press for years and am accustomed to the process that involves, plus the richness of flavor from a typical blade grinder. I bought the Cuisinart for convenience. I wanted something I could program to make coffee for the morning, use fresh beans, stay heated for a couple of hours or so, and make more than a couple of cups worth of coffee. I drink coffee all day and usually end up making at least two runs of French press coffee. After many years of cleaning the pot, grinding beans, and heating water multiple times a day, I wanted to see how far coffee makers had progressed.

Just Buy This One – If you want a coffee maker with all the bells and whistles, just buy this one. It’s expensive but totally worth it for something I use so often. (I brew at least two pots of coffee a day). This is my second one of these coffee makers. My first lasted 5 years before it just wouldn’t pump the water.
