Okay in an emergency – I just used this pour over coffee maker. It did make the coffee. It was easy to use and not hard to clean. But the coffee was weaker than from my keurig and was not hot enough for me. The directions said to not use boiling water but to use hot water. I need my coffee hotter than this. But if the electricity is off and I need my coffee this will be okay until I can get the keurig going again.

Enjoy coffee – Overall I like using a pour over coffee option rather than french press but each has its benifits and to each their own., I use both . I am by no means a coffee expert in flavor or technique reviewing quality. The stainless reusable / permanent filter is really great but I still use a paper towel to empty the strainer to remove the grinds ( do not have option to simply rinse out) . The main issue is the glass carafe it has worked fine I am careful with it the idea this is packable is a stretch . The glass is simple not thick enough. Using a higher grade shatter resistant glass would make this a great product . Overall very pleased would purchase again

Was not expecting it to be THIS small, but it’s PERFECT. – I’ve mainly used this for brewing coffee for my wife, and it does a great job. The reusable filter basket is a little small in comparison to some manual brewers, so I would really only recommend it for use with single-cup brewing. It does an excellent job brewing hot (I usually brew around 198ºF) or with flash brews (with ice). It holds up very well with extreme heat or extreme cold. I’d highly recommend this small-but-fierce brewer!

Fine dust from the coffee grounds makes it into your cup. – I really enjoy this pour over, but I still have to use a paper filter. I have noticed that my coffee is extremely bitter, and when I get to the bottom of the cup it’s like I’ve put too much cocoa powder in a cup of hot cocoa. It’s the fine dust from the coffee making its way through the mesh. At first I thought maybe my water was just too hot, but after putting a filter in the find powder was gone, and so was the bitter flavor.
