Great for Arthritic Hands – This mixer does a really good job and is easy to handle. It is light weight for its size and easy to maneuver. The speed dial allows you to micro and change the speed with one hand while turning the bowl with the other.

This is great – I had done a lot of research for hand mixers. I debated between really expensive ones to the cheapest ones. I landed on this one.

BEST HANDMIXER I HAVE EVER USED – I have read through several of the reviews with many concerned about the plastic inserts on the beaters and dough hooks. I can tell you from experience that the plastic inserts will outlast the mixer. I just replaced my Braun Multimix 280 watt hand mixer that I bought in 2002 and used regularly to mix cake batter, frosting, potatos, and pizza dough etc. The motor on the 280 watt mixer finally gave out and the beaters and dough hooks from this 20 year old mixer are identical to those that came with my new Braun 350 watt Multimix 5 hand mixer. I intend to use these 20 year old beaters and hooks with the new mixer and keep the new beaters and hooks packaged in the storage bag. In fact the 20 year old mixer came with the vegatable chopper that I never used and the smoothie blender that may have been used 3 times to whip the lumps out of gravy. Both these accessories do not fit my new mixer and I wish they did. If you are having apprehensions about buying this mixer, it is the best mixer I have ever had and in 20 years when my Multimix 5 wears out I will buy another Braun without thinking twice. I used my new Multimix 5 with the old beaters the other day to mix a cake and to whip up potatos for dinner and it worked flawlessly. Don’t be afraid of purchasing this mixer, it will serve you well. One more thing this Braun multimix 5 handmixer is not loud and noisy like others have reported. Very quiet and very easy to handle with the rubber grips.

Earns its stars – Just received this yesterday, first use this morning. After a hiatus of several years, I started making bread again this fall, and am now baking twice a week. My wife had encouraged me to use her KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, labeling it the gold standard of mixers. Takes up huge space on the counter, but is so heavy you don’t want to get it out and put it away. In the past I had used 220-watt hand mixers from both KitchenAid and Cuisinart, and while they did fine at kneading, the effort caused the mechanism that secures the dough hooks in both mixers to fail, and the dough hooks kept falling out.

– I searched and tried at least 5 mixers. This one is the best one for me. My mixers are mostly used for making merigue so low low speed is what I wanted and also powerful. Best one that suits me!
